Project Overview: In this project, I stepped into the role of a Junior UX/UI Designer, contributing to the creation of a vibrant and intuitive education app designed to connect parents, students, and teachers. Under the guidance of a Lead UX/UI Designer, I focused on crafting playful and engaging UI elements, including onboarding visuals, app icons, and illustrations for empty states. My work aimed to create a welcoming and visually cohesive experience for users.

Key Contributions:

• Visual Design and Onboarding: Developed playful and vibrant onboarding visuals and designed a distinctive app icon, contributing to a positive first impression and user engagement.

• Illustration and User Engagement: Created custom illustrations for empty states, enhancing user engagement and providing a more visually appealing experience.

• User Flow and Design Handoffs: Developed user flow screens and collaborated on design handoffs, gaining practical experience in the design-to-development process.

• Collaborative Learning and Development: Worked closely with the Lead UX/UI Designer and experienced developers, gaining valuable insights into the intersection of design and technology, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

This project served as a significant learning opportunity, allowing me to apply fundamental UX/UI principles and develop practical skills in a collaborative setting. Working alongside experienced professionals, I gained valuable experience in crafting engaging user interfaces and contributing to a product with a positive impact.

App Icon Design:
The app icon draws inspiration from stargazing through a telescope, honoring the app's namesake—a celebrated astronomer and mathematician. To underscore the app's educational focus, a subtle book motif is integrated, symbolizing knowledge and discovery. The resulting design is a vibrant, clean, and approachable illustration that visually communicates exploration and learning, while maintaining a playful and engaging aesthetic.
